How We Wear It : Volume III
WELCOME TO THE THIRD INSTALLMENT OF “How We Wear It!”
Here Julie shows off her new love for these feather-like earrings by the awesome collaboration team of Ether/Ore and Cri de Coeur. It is so great to finally put these cruelty-free jewelry concepts to good use. All of our earrings are vegan and artfully handcrafted by Nina Fagiola in New York City. The brass and ultra suede combination is very beatnik, and Julie loves that though it is unconventional, it is still very on-point in the style of today. This fringe technique accentuates her elegant, yet casual Plastic Island cotton and lace t-shirt that she bought at Dear Fieldbinder in Brooklyn.
Gina rocks the hottest color of the season with these Hannah asymmetrical heels in bold-hued Sunshine. Offsetting her sea green, loose-fit blouse and black skinny jeans, these sandals are the perfect compliment for her warm summer day outfit. You can find this color exclusively on Endless.com or get your Black or Royal blue ones here!
The NY Project with Eleanor Banco
Cri de Coeur was lucky enough to be asked by Greta Eagan to provide shoes and bags for the NY Project with Elleanor Banco for Fashion me Green, a site where style goes green! FASHIONmeGREEN sought out a true NYC style influncer, Teen Vogue and Style.com’s PR Director Eleanor Banco for the NY Project and eco-fashion makeover.
A self-proclaimed fashion lover, Eleanor’s style balances high fashion statements with an easy sophistication. Watch the Webisode from NY Project and see behind the scenes footage of the shoot at New York’s SoHo House and see more of this New York fashionista’s sustainable style makeover using ten of New York’s hottest eco-designers. Shop the shoot for shoes such as our Hannah Asymmetrical Sandal in Royal Blue and Stella Cut-Out Cage Wedge in nude.

Julie wears "Alexa"
Julie is loving her “Alexa” style from Summer Season ‘09. She gets stopped (literally) in her tracks whenever she wears these fashion forward cut-out booties. Seen here with a belted Banana Republic blouse that she has had for years and her favorite pair of jeggings from Citizens of Humanity. With a canvas upper, patten vegan leather and zipper front details, these unique characteristics give new meaning to the word “accessorize”. Get them now on SALE right here at Cri-de-Coeur!
Gina is seen here in two different styles. The “Lorena” is so fabulously chic that even though she said she was having trouble putting together her wardrobe the morning of the FFaNY Trade Show, by just throwing these sexy tie back heels on, it completely formulated the outfit. Get this style at Cow Jones Industrials for a SALE going on this week only!
The other wrap flat style “Lydia“, is available only on Endless.com. They are the perfect shoe to wear for summer and plenty comfortable for walking around the city all day. Paired here with an ever so “now” jean vest over a belted summer army inspired dress, the subtle print on this shoe gives her outfit a burst of energy.
Stay tuned next week for “How we wear it!” Until then, remember if you are what you eat, wear, do and buy, what better way to look the part than buying what reflects who you are on the inside. So support eco- conscious companies and you’ll help us transform what it means to have “style”.
